Cute place. Small setting with only a few tables. Very nice, out of the way. Hummus was amazing, sangria was great and refreshing. This was run by a lovely woman, and a helper who appeared to be her daughter? The only downside is that the place is small. Small means only a few seats, and a SMALL kitchen, which means if it is a wait to get a seat, it will also be a wait for the food, as space in all aspects are limited.

[Geheimtipp] Absolutely lovely little house with colorful flowers and plants all around you. Lovely backyard with painted house facades. Very open and friendly waitress. Excellent food!

Hidden quiet Oasis it’s a small spot in a former industrial area made by creative people. The atmosphere is out of every city rush and just without any expectations. The curry’s and juices are soulfood and invite to forget about time.

This place is a little jewel, tucked away in a cute little alley. The food is just so hearty, so flavourful, just amazing. And the people! Just…. Lovely! Try the salmon in coconut sauce & the shrimp risotto!

What a treasure tucked away into a secluded, vine-covered patio. Food was lovely, so nice finding fresh salads and such attention to flavor. You can tell it’s made with love. Had a great chat with the chef and server who were both welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

I popped into Páteo Café on a sunny weekday, and it quickly became one of my favourite Lisbon finds. Stepping into the leafy courtyard, I was greeted by warm, friendly faces and a relaxed, casual-chic atmosphere that begged me to sit and stay awhile. I tried the hummus and fish dishes first — everything felt fresh and homemade, really showing off Portuguese flavours. The sangria was crisp and fruity, perfect for the afternoon sun restaurantguru.com . A few days later I came back with a friend after we’d visited MAAT museum; we shared light tapas plates and lingered over another glass of wine, chatting and soaking in the easy vibe . It’s not flashy, but it doesn’t need to be. With fewer than 15 tables, attentive service, and a tucked-away courtyard, it feels like your own secret spot. Locals and tourists alike give it a 4.7–4.8 rating, and it's clear why — solid food, calm ambiance, no fuss . If you’re wandering Belém, need a break from sightseeing, or want an unpretentious meal in a charming setting, Páteo Café is exactly that hidden gem. Let me know where I should head next!

A true gem we accidentally discovered after missing our train to Cascais. Very friendly staff, amazing chef (also the owner), relaxed and calming atmosphere, and really good food. And really really nice (white) sangria! Perfect for a quite lunch in the busy area of Belem. My sangria/cous cous non-loving boyfriend changed his mind Go there if you are in the area, I devoured their signature Pàteo sallad (try it, I don't think you'd regret it). See you soon Pàteo
